Meditation & Mindful Yoga Weekend by the Sea
I guide a 3-day meditation and yoga weekend. A long weekend with time for yourself. The program is all about reflection and appreciation for the small.

3 Days in Het Lichthuis
The Light House is a wonderful location to unwind. It's a home away from home. You have your own apartment at your disposal where you can retreat.
Exercises and meditations are accompanied and introduced with voice, participants are in silence for three days.
Silence is an important condition for meditation. We are there in a beautiful place where we take care of the silence together.
Together we observe the silence so that everyone can focus on the practice.
Meditation is a process of internalization. During these three days, we enable everything to be optimally facilitated in this process
There is a nice yoga room for group work, deepening and reflection. All meals are vegetarian and included in the price.
The Lichthuis is a 10-minute walk from zandvoort beach.
Practice, Relax, Recharge, Retreat
Meditating together is a very different experience than alone at home. The energy in the group is a large conscious field. In this field we can rest, heal and we can recharge.
There are many ways to meditate. In this retreat the body is the entrance for the meditations. The breath flows in your body. You can ground in the body. It is the place where you experience physical and sensory sensations. If you can soften you can release tension, in relaxation you can consciously slow down. In delay you can increase your awareness.
Mindfulness is about how you connect, first with yourself and then with the people and the world around you.
It is a down-to-earth approach where you can examine all sensations in an open field of attention. That means that your anxiety, pain or sadness and also all thoughts can simply be there.
If you are allowed to be the way you are, then you can silently recognize that there is a pattern in your thinking and in your actions. In your way of responding. In meditation you discover that there are other possibilities, that there is space where you previously felt tension.
Some meditation experience is desired
There is a day program in which we alternately meditate and do yoga.
We do gentle yoga that helps you relax. Yoga experience is not necessary, but some experience with meditation is desirable.
In the afternoon program there is enough space for a walk to the beach or to be on your own.
After the evening meditation you have time for yourself. For an evening walk to the beach or a sauna visit.
I am an experienced supervisor of inner processes. For more than 18 years I teach meditation, breath and body work. I like lightness and humor in my teachings. I stand for a clear approach. I have earned my spurs as a trainer of mindfulness and yoga teachers. Now I work as an acupuncturist in my own Acupuncture Clinic for Body and Mind in Haarlem.
My vision of man has three pillars of self-care.
This is the work I do with people and in my own practice: Yoga, Meditation, Breathing Exercises and Increasing Energetic Awareness.
Take care of the physical body
Your body is your vehicle, it deserves careful attention. The gentle yoga practices we do help us to re-friend the body.
Attention to the psyche
Mindfulness, rooted in Buddhist psychology teaches us how thought patterns change when we are tense. And how we are a different person in open attention and without judgment.
Increasing the energetic consciousness
As an acupuncturist I work with body energy. That which is not touched in the body, that which is felt but is more difficult to put into words, is our energetic consciousness. Ways to work with this are for example doing compassion exercises (the strength of the heart) and breathwork, because breath is energy too.
