Where You At?
April 6, 2006 by George
Okay I’m off to India. My sixth time to Varanasi. I keep coming back to Kashi after visiting the city for the first time ten years ago. Nowadays I go there to study yoga and meditation with my Guruji.
In Delhi I will catch up with Marise who has done Antropological fieldwork in Pakistan and India. We have not seen eachother for three months. Many things have happened in this time. I did a Yoga Nidra course and I started drawing again which is good since production stopped 18 months ago. Today I resigned from the job that was sucking all the life out of me. Especially these last months, so that’s another good thang. Let’s see if there are other new dimensions in this life I do not yet know about…
So when we’re back in three weeks a new time will come… F*ck N0! it has already started!

Twin blasts rock Varanasi, many killed
Mrtch 7, 2006 by George
Varanasi, March. 7 (PTI): Two bomb blasts in quick succession rocked Sankatmochan temple and the cantonment railway station here this evening killing at least 12 people and injuring over 20, some of them seriously
The first blast took place inside famous Sankatmochan temple adjacent to Kashi Vishwanath temple when it was teeming with devotees at the evening “aarti” time killing four persons on the spot.
Minutes later at 6:25 p.m., another blast took place at the holding area of platform number one of the Varanasi Cantonment railway station when Delhi-bound Shivaganga Express was stationary.
Four bombs were recovered at the Dashaswamedh Ghat (main Ghat), two kilometres away from the Sankatmochan temple. Bomb disposal squad were rushed to site to defuse the explosives.
