This is a WordPress 1.5 test. I upgraded my blog software and so far everything seems to be working fine. Some missing images and a lot of validation errors. But this blogpage has no problems if you browse with Mozilla. I don’t like Internet Explorer anyway; you should discard it.

I took this picture in India last September. Varanasi is sprawled with Shiva Lingams. In meditation we call it the “seat of the mind”.

The year of the rooster.
Legend has it that the Lord Buddha summoned all the animals to come before him before he departed from the earth. Only twelve animals came to bid him farewell and as a reward he named each year after the animals in the order they arrived. According to a different legend, the animals were quarreling about who should head the cycle of years. When asked to decide, the gods suggested a contest. Whoever reached the bank of a certain river first would head the cycle and the rest of the animals would be listed accordingly. All the animals lined up and the ox jumped in.
