De vakantie in Japan zit er op. Inmiddels zijn we al weer een week thuis en aan het werk. Maar ik moet er nog even aan wennen, vooral omdat ik nog wel wat extra zon gebruiken deze resterende zomermaanden… maar waar is die zon?

Iets wat in deze video subtiel wordt verbeeld is een besef dat ik mijn hele kindertijd heb gehad. Sinds mijn kindertijd heb ik het als een vreemde toevalligheid van het lot beschouwd dat dit leven hier zoveel kansen biedt. Dat in vergelijking met een ander mensenleven welk op hetzelfde momentum op een andere plek in deze wereld is begonnen. Is dat de lulligheid van karma?

Na de hatha les spraken we nog na met een paar beginners. We spraken over het leren van yoga asanas. Ik noemde het D-woord. Dat was toch even schrikken.

Ik post de aankondiging van deze workshop/training op mijn site omdat er wellicht lezers zijn die dezelfde interesse hebben als ik. Namelijk de combinatie van jongeren en mindfulnesstraining.

The workshop is open to anyone interested in teaching mindfulness in schools. We will engage in the practice of mindfulness and present a sample curriculum for a mindfulness training course targeted toward children and young adults. It can be used as a template for a 5 – 8 week, two to three times per week training, or can be adjusted to accommodate other programs. We will give recommendations for adjusting the curriculum to fit the constraints of particular situations. The workshop will be a combination of Buddhist mindfulness meditation, interactive exercises, and lecture.
