Some frequent yoga blogging going on here.
Look at this very sensual marked tree.yoni mark
“The yoni marking on the Manasa Devi tree reveals that it is the natural manifested residence of the Goddess (Kali). Such places are considered ideal for Tantric meditation and worship.”

The Divine Mother of the Universe

Mrtch 21, 2005

photo from flickrAs I said in the previous post my friend George from Austria is a tattooist. This one here is mine on the inside of my upper arm. It’s the tattoo I always wanted but only had it done seven or eight years before. The pirate style design is by me. Now how do you like that!
Mum was not happy, but you know you can see it in a larger perspective: It is ‘The Mother’ of all tattoos, and a love for the Divine Mother of the Universe

“The primal stirring of pure awareness that gives rise to existence is Shakti. Pure awareness is static, transcendent, peace, unmoving, and unchanging. Shakti is dynamic energy, immanent, love, and perpetually moving and changing. Pure awareness is masculine while Shakti is feminine. Thus, it is the divine feminine that produces universes without end and all the beings that occupy them. In Taoist terminology, pure awareness would be yang while Shakti would be yin. Thus Shakti is resolve, will and energy and She is expansive. The sum total of all the energy in existence and the will to direct it is Shakti. Every God in Hinduism has his Shakti and without Her energy they have no power. The play of female energy has no beginning and no end. Although restless by nature, it cycles through periods of rest and motion.”

Guru Brother

Mrtch 20, 2005

George WerlbergerMy main yoga practice is meditation. I learn to meditate by Kriya yoga. I received initiation into Kriya three years ago from my spiritual Guru Sri Prakash Shankar Vijas.

It’s always good to come to Varanasi as I learn a lot there. From my teacher but also from others who do the same practice. If they received initiation by the same Guru they are my Kriya brotha’s and sista’s.

When I was in India in 2002 and 2003 I spent a lot of time together with my Guru brother George. Just like me he has been drawing during most of his travels.

His works are inspired by his own experience in meditation. George is a skilled tattooist and you can see that the way he colours his drawings at spiritual-impressions.com

Later on I will explain you a bit more about Kriya but if you can’t wait and want to know more about the original Kriya yoga check out the site kriyasource.com and buy the book by Kriya sista Heidi Wyder.
